Up for sale is Sankyo ORPHEUS 50 note cylinder music box made in Japan and tune Francis Lai / Andy Williams - "Where Do I Begin?" (Love Theme from "Love Story") 3 parts.

Brand New in box with the guarantee card for one year. Made in 2025.

Whole movement and box were made in Japan by the professional craftsmanship. The material of the box is solid walnut wood and spruce wood. The spruce wood is used for the sounding board of the piano, the violin, the guitar and etc. (Type 520)

Feature of ORPHEUS (50 note, 3 parts):
When the switch (The front of the music box) is returned (slide to the left) after the start (slide to the right), the cylinder will be automatically stopped AFTER 3 ROTATIONS. (After the one rotation, the cylinder shifts to the side by 0.5 mm and another pin group plays in the second rotation). When the switch is not returned, it plays continuously. (Play until the end of the mainspring).

REUGE and SANKYO HISTORY:
1865 REUGE foundation. REUGE mainly continued making small movements 1950's.
1945 End of World War II.
1946 SANKYO foundation.
1948 SANKYO manufactured the first music box made in Japan, and mainly continued making small movements until 1984.
1960's REUGE started production of 50 and 72 note movements and more.
1984 SANKYO started production of 50 and 72 note movements ORPHEUS brand.
2012 SANKYO was merged into Nidec (Japan) corporation.
