Mid Century Woven Wood Basket Purse Cricket Grasshopper Weathervane Top Rare.

Coming from a Marblehead Massachusetts estate is this lovely mid century wooden woven basket purse. It has a grasshopper or cricket weathervane top and a lovely red painted polka dot ribbon border. It has a makers mark or initials at the base of the weathervane (see pics).

9 1/2 inch L x 5 1/2 inch W x 6 1/4 inch H.

This is truly a unique, possibly one of a kind item , has no match can be found anywhere on the web.

The basket purse is in excellent vintage original condition. There is very slight paint loss on a few of the polka dots on the front red ribbon bow (see pics).

This item can still be used today and would make a lovely decor statement and conversational piece.
