This is a vintage Japanese Sosaku nodder Kokeshi doll that measures 3.13 inches high.  It is a diorama depicting a mythical Kappa taking a leasurely hot tub bath with its tail sticking out of the water, a sake cup ready for drinking, a hot fire to keep the water warm and a giant salamander ghostly featured swimming in the shared water.  The Kappa's neck extends and shortens to give different poses.
