This is an antique Photogravure from 1893, created by Goupil & Co. and published by D. Appleton & Co New York in limited edition, to showcase the art work of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. A photogravure, also referred to as a heliogravure, is a print that has been created by etching/engraving an image onto a copper plate and then transferring the image, in this case, onto heavy wove paper, with traditional ink.
Please view all pictures for size and condition as print does show signs of it’s age. Image itself is crips and suitable for framing.
