Vintage Made in Japan Porcelain Tea Set - Teapot 8.5" tall with 6 Cups 1 3/4" tall and a black 10" by 6" plastic serving tray.The notch in the top of the tea pot is there to secure the lid (by twisting the top) so it does not fall off when the tea is poured. Also, note 2 notches on the lid that hold it on when seated in the tea pot.  All pieces are in excellent vintage condition. Please see photos for details as it is part of the description.
