Although this pedal is mainly designed as an amp simulator (direct to PA/mixing desk etc.) it's equally good in front of an actual guitar amplifier. It will lend your amp some of the character of a Night Train. The strength of this pedal is its overdrive. It's got a rich, pleasant "crunch" overdrive, with plenty of touch sensitivity (i.e. responds to how hard you pick). It's well suited to classic rock: I'd say it competes well with pedals that cost a lot more. In terms of build, it's very small (you might not appreciate from the pictures how tiny it is), and sturdily constructed from metal with a thick plastic cover for the controls, which is a nice touch.
