Description

The DSD30+25 is a single rope descender with two jamming positions. It is a robust and functional descender with great braking power -appropriate for rescue operations. By increasing pressure on the handle the user will activate the descender’s second (anti-panic) jamming position and when the pressure is high enough the descent will be stopped entirely - consequently DSD 30+25 affords extra protection to users and, especially, to beginners.

A manually operated controlled descent device that utilizes a cam assembly that provides friction on the rope to hold a load, or allow the load to descend. To begin descent, the user depresses the control lever. If the control lever is fully depressed in a panic situation, the descent will stop. Normally connected directly to the users seat harness, the Anthron may be attached to a rigging point and used as a lowering device. It can be placed on the rope at any point. With the Double Stop descender, Anthron have tackled the age old problem of panic ‘grabbing’ of a descending device. By using clever rope geometry, there is a sweet spot in the middle of the range to lower safely with automatic locking at each end of the range, i.e: it will lock virtually hands-free when let go by the operator AND it will lock if the operator squeezes the device too hard.

In most applications, the Anthron operator descends by attaching the rope end to an approved anchor and descends suspended from the device in an approved bosun’s chair or cradle. The Anthron can be inverted and attached to the anchor. In this orientation a casualty can be lowered while being controlled by a rescuer.

Suitable for use for loads between 30 and 150Kg

Conforms to EN 341  (Personal protective equipment against falls from a height) with 11mm ropes.

Conforms to EN 12841 (Personal fall protection equipment – Rope access systems) when used with ropes between 10mm and 12mm

Recommended for descending up to a maximum of 200m at a time.
