Each property is configured as its own independent interconnected system. The groups are paired separately and clearly labelled, so alarms at one property do not cross-trigger with another property.
Queensland legislation requires interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms compliant with AS3786:2014 in required locations throughout Queensland homes by 1 January 2027 (or earlier where applicable to selling or leasing).

Required alarms must be photoelectric and interconnected, so when one alarm activates, the interconnected alarms in that system also sound.
If an existing smoke alarm is hardwired to the domestic power supply, it must be replaced with a compliant interconnected hardwired smoke alarm when replacement is required.
There is no requirement to retrofit hardwired smoke alarms. Additional alarms required to meet the bedroom, hallway and other location requirements may be compliant 10-year battery-powered alarms, provided the complete system is interconnected as required.
Any installation or replacement work involving 240V hardwired smoke alarms must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
Property requirements can vary according to layout, existing wiring and circumstances. Always confirm the requirements applicable to your property.
We prepare your alarm system before it leaves us. Compatible alarms and remotes are paired and checked prior to dispatch, so there is no need to pair the system yourself when it arrives.
Selected packs include a remote for convenient ground-level control of your interconnected alarm system.

The AJ765SI is a photoelectric interconnected smoke alarm certified to Australian Standard AS3786:2014 under CSIRO ActivFire AFP-3722. Compliance also depends on correct placement and installation for your individual property.
Yes. The supplied ActivFire certificate applies to alarms manufactured during the authorised production period shown on the certificate. Alarms manufactured within that authorised period remain covered by that certification for their applicable service life.
The dates shown on the certificate relate to the authorised manufacturing period rather than the expiry date of each individual alarm. The manufacture date of the alarm determines its age and service-life period.
Yes. Alarm systems are paired prior to dispatch unless otherwise requested. For multi-property orders, each property is paired as a separate independent group.
Absolutely. Tell us how many alarms and remotes are required for each property. We can separate your purchased quantity into individual systems, pair each system independently and clearly label the groups before shipping.
Yes. Multi-property configuration is not limited to landlords or investors. A larger order can be divided between family members, friends, neighbours or separate properties, with each system paired independently.
The correct number depends on your individual property layout. Consider the number of bedrooms, connecting hallways and storeys, together with any existing hardwired alarm positions. The pack-size examples in this listing are intended as general guidance only.
Yes. The ANKA AJ Series is an expandable wireless interconnected system. Additional compatible alarms can be paired into an existing system when required, up to the supported network capacity.
No. Alarm-to-alarm interconnection uses the system's built-in wireless communication. Wi-Fi, an app, internet connection and subscriptions are not required for normal interconnected operation.
If an existing smoke alarm is hardwired to the domestic power supply, it must be replaced with a compliant interconnected hardwired alarm when replacement is required. There is no requirement to retrofit hardwired alarms. Additional required alarm locations may use compliant 10-year battery-powered alarms as part of the interconnected system. Any 240V installation or replacement work must be completed by a licensed electrician.
