The paddle roller is the perfect tool for a quick wet out and air removal on a large surface areas of Chopped Strand Matting and some Woven Cloths in the Fibreglass GRP Manufacture Process . Its aluminium construction makes it lightweight and easy to use and are easily cleaned in acetone.

Method

The Paddle (or consolidation roller) is used to remove air pockets in resin soaked Chopped Strand Matting to ensure that the substrate is fully Wetted Out creating a water proof membrane. Used in all aspects of Marine GRP Construction and the Installation of Fibreglass flat Roofing. The Paddle Roller is rolled across the the wetted laminate with a gentle to medium pressure for the effective removal of air pocket and to ensure emulsions are broken down in the CSM. The CSM or Woven Cloth needs to be fully soaked in resin to ensure the perfect cure.
