Minted in San Francisco in 1982, this coin was the first United States silver coin minted by our nation since 1964, and the first commemorative coin minted by the US Mint since 1954. It commemorates the 250th birthday of our nation's first president (1732-1982), the "Father of Our Country". This proof coin is highly polished, with the portrait of General Washington on horseback on the obverse, and his home at Mount Vernon on the reverse. It measures 1.205" in diameter and weighs .4019 troy ounces, and is 90% pure silver and 10% copper (the combination known as "coin silver").
The coin, box, and COA will be included with the shipment. Shipped in its original government packaged capsule.
Shipping within the United States only. Please note that most of the boxes are in good shape, with the exception of the one I have photographed prominently, as it has an oil stain of some type on the top. Some have slight wear on the corners of the boxes, and I have made an attempt to show those anomalies in other photos.
Please note: If you are not interested in the box or COA, please note that these coins are available elsewhere in my eBay store at less cost.
