We have developed a BOLT IN fitting kit for the Tesla large drive unit (also accepts small unit) to fit the classic Porsche 986 987 Boxster and Caymen platforms, these cars are really cheap to buy now and a great candidate for an EV conversion.

What you get is all in black in the pics and bolts directly to the existing rear subframe (old bare alloy cast parts shown) and suspension, you don’t even need a grinder! You can fit it in your garage on your own with just a trolley jack it’s that easy (once everything is removed it should only take a couple of hours single handed)

Great for the home DIYer wanting to build something exciting and extremely fast at home that doesnt have the skillset or tools to do this sort of fabrication and design work themselves.

We have updated parts to help make this swap easier and now include a pair of driveshaft adaptor flanges, these need to be welded to the Tesla output shafts, once done this allows the STANDARD Boxster driveshafts to be used, No custom driveshafts needed!! Again this kit has been developed with the end user in mind and to keep things simple and easy...

So much potential can be had with this power setup and finally enough power for the Boxster's incredible chassis

Parts are all CNC laser and water jet cut steel, CNC folded and all powder coated in a thick texture black finish, comes with all bolts needed too!!

In this particular test vehicle we have utilised a Chevy Volt battery system, and as you can see in the last pic there is enough room to mount the cells etc in the back of the car still. This keeps the cars weight at roughly the same as the original car so there is no weight/ handling issues either!!

These Kits have been inspected and confirmed and signed off safe for road use by the DVLA  You can rest assured that this is the best quality and are safest conversion parts available for these platforms.

NOTE: These swaps require other parts to complete, please budget upwards of £20k+ to do a complete conversion.
