or re-use your metal dowels/bushings from your old shocks.

VERY UNIQUE!!!,
I see shocks like these all the time,
but with a top cover/shroud in black or chrome,
~ these look even better!!!!!!

Compare to Progressive Suspension shocks!
just as good, at half the price!

I have put them on many Sportsters, and
Street 750/500 models,

these are entry-level medium quality MDI shocks, made of steel, of Taiwanese origin.
approximately equivalent to the lowest quality Progressive Suspension units.
I don't think rebuild kits are available, my guess is that they are intended
to be disposable after they wear out, just like the stock units on most japanese cruiser bikes.
If you want super high quality and rebuidability, these are not a good option for you.
These only have good looks and reasonable price and decent quality going for them.

Questions and answers about this item

Q: what is the spring rate on your shocks?

A:   In general the spring rate is the same on all the heavy duty shocks,
the springs are the same, only the springs on the black have been powdercoated.
Spring length varies on whether it is installed on the shock or not.
also, these are true Progressive type shocks and have two separate springs
installed with a spacer between them.

loading weight on these shocks listed here
is 200kg/440lbs.

Q: Hi, I really like these shocks. Just wondering if they would work on my '78 GL 1000?
It's stripped naked and I'm intending on riding alone. Thanks!

Q: Nice shocks! Plan on putting them on a XS650 pretty sure they will look and work fine.
Maybe a stupid question but rather ask it than assume. The price is for two shocks is it not?

A: yes, good question. this is for one pair (two shocks total) best steve in CA

Q: Hi mate, I have a yamaha ZXR 1300 with 13 inch shockers but its a little too high for me.

Q: will these fit on a 2001 ace 750 honda shadow? thanks

A: I have not put them on an 01 ACE 750, but if you have eye to eye shocks,
these will install, as they are also eye to eye configuration. best steve

Q: hi, if i wanted to put these on a kawasaki vulcan (2005) is there any bolt conversion
i need to do or should they fit straight on? i've heard that maybe on metric bikes there's
a difference in bolt sizes. thanks, josh Jan-04-11

A: Sorry, i am not sure. you didnt mention size or weight, or if you have eye to eye shock mounts.
If you have eye to eye,   then these will work, and come with 3 sizes of bushings.
best, steve in CA

Q: how wide are the springs, is one of the 3 sizes 3/8"? and what is the length
from the bottom eye hole to where the springs starts?

A:
from a side view the shocks are 2 1/2" wide
not sure of the spring diameter/thickness
one of the grommet sizes is 3/8
about 4" from bottom to where the springs start.
