The Big Horn 70125 Essential Door Master Installation Kit gives you everything you need to install door locks with speed and precision. It includes a heavy-duty boring fixture that adjusts for both 2-3/8” and 2-3/4” backsets and fits wood doors from 1” to 2-3/8” thick. The kit comes with three carbide-tipped spur bits for boring 1” edge holes, 2-1/8” cross bores, and 1-1/2” holes for deadbolts. Instead of router templates, this kit features the Big Horn 70138 Strike Mortiser and 70139 Latch Mortiser. These steel tools use aluminum alignment plugs to help you mark mortises with precision. With a few hammer strikes and a hand chisel, you can produce professional-grade latch and strike mortises with ease.

A heavy-duty 1/2” hex drive quick-release drill adapter ensures smooth compatibility with your drill motor, and the 1-1/2” reducer ring adds versatility when using the 1-1/2” spur bit. An aluminum latch bore strike center marker with a stainless-steel point provides accurate alignment, and the spring-loaded corner chisel makes quick work of squaring out corners for square-cornered hardware. All components are organized in a durable blow-molded storage and carry case, so you always have quick access and lasting protection for every tool.
