This film tell the life story of two people, from the time they get married till the end of their lives. All seen from their bedroom where their bed is a "four poster bed", thus the name of the film. The story was originally a stage play. Although it all takes place in just one room, the film uses annimation to show the passage of time. This is a beautiful film that is filled with both romance and and tribulations of a long lasting marriage. Excellent acting.
Harrison and Palmer are the only cast in the picture. An excellent film and a very good quality DVD.
This is a rare film.
