This leather plaque features the glyphs for the twenty days of the Maya calendar in its innermost ring, surrounded by the nineteen months (18 x 20 days + 1 x 5 days) that comprise the Mayan solar year. At center is a mythical "year-bearer," carrying the Ahaw glyph that completes each cycle of the Mayas' sacred calendar.
Originally from Mexico State, this plaque was purchased in Mexico City. Recommended as a framed wall decoration!
