Replace a worn or damaged stove seal with our 12mm black stove rope. Its medium-density construction provides an ideal balance of firmness and flexibility. Therefore, it keeps its shape well while helping to create a secure seal around a compatible stove door or stove glass.
Unlike very soft rope, medium-density stove rope has more substance and does not stretch as easily during installation. As a result, you can measure and fit it more accurately into the stove’s rope channel.
We sell this rope by the metre. Simply enter the number of metres you require as the order quantity, and we will cut it as one continuous length whenever possible.
Very soft stove rope can stretch while you fit it. Consequently, you may use too little rope and create an uneven seal. In contrast, medium-density rope provides greater firmness and holds its original shape more effectively.
This extra stability makes the rope easier to measure, cut and press into the channel. Furthermore, it helps you create a neat and professional finish when you install it correctly.
Please note: Check your stove manual or measure the existing rope and channel before ordering. Different stove models require different rope diameters.
You will normally need a suitable high-temperature adhesive to secure the rope. Therefore, we recommend purchasing our Reeds 50ml Stove Rope Adhesive with your replacement rope.
Always follow the instructions supplied with your stove and adhesive. If you are unsure which rope size you need, contact the SNH Tradecentre team before ordering.
Measure the full distance around the rope channel and allow a small amount for trimming. For example, if you require three metres, select a quantity of three. We will then supply a three-metre continuous length whenever possible.
Stove rope adhesive is not included and must be purchased separately.
