Galion Reefa Jacket/ Pea Coat by Saint James

The Galion is St James' authentic navy pea coat in heavy weight wool (28-30oz).

Full branded lining, cut and finished to the highest of standards that is expected of Saint James the world over.

The pea coat has a traditional comfortable fit, and can be worn by both men and women as it can be button closed with either front panel leading.

Details

The collar is a tailored double thickness and the peacoat has a broad, notched lapel with a button hole on either side.

Attached to the collar is a chin guard which buttons across the face when the collar is stood upright, when the wind is particularly strong.

The coat is double breasted with six nautical buttons.

Framed double piping slash pockets running vertical at the hip, these are at just the height for a straight-backed sea-gazing posture.

Below the right hand pocket on the bottom seam is the Saint James label, sewn subtly on the outside.

Inside has two high quality brass zip pockets sewn into the woollen lining on each side. A safe haven for change or a whistle.

About Saint James

Saint James clothing was born in 1889 in the town of it's namesake, located a few miles from the sea, and close to Mont Saint-Michel in Southern Normandy. The Saint James story began when the Legallais family started to spin and dye the local wool and sell the skeins and wool balls to the shops of Brittany and Normandy, later spinning the wool into shirts for the fishermen. Leon Legallais, the then mayor or Saint-James transformed this workshop into a large industry and in 1929 the company went public.

Please note the pit to pit measurment of the S is 55.1cm.  M is 58cm. L is 61cm. XL is 64cm.  XXL is 67cm. 3XL is 69.9cm. 4XL is 72.9cm. 5XL is 75.9 cm.
