Description
The DL7100 has 4-channel for analog input signals and logic input signals of 16 bits, along with a record length of up to 8M words per channel. Conventional digital oscilloscopes with large memory had several disadvantages such as slow operation response, expensiveness and a large size. We have developed D.S.E. (Data Stream Engine) which consists of three types of ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) for data processing, so that the DL7100 can achieve an update-rate for a display screen as high as 30 displays/second with a 1M words waveform display.
The DL7100 has Zoom Search function that extract the specified data portion in a large volume of data stream and History Search function that can pick up the specified waveform from a large number of waveforms previously captured. These search functions support observation of complicated signals and seldom abnormal phenomena. They also enable effective trouble shootings and reduction in developing hours. By developing 11 types of custom IC including above mentioned D.S.E., DL7100 can achieve not only size in compact, but also reasonable price as good as previous models. This paper describes an outline of the DL7100.
