![]() DIY Baby Brine Shrimp Hatching Set. Hatch Your Own Live Food As And When Needed Includes Enough Eggs & Salt For Your First 4L Hatch **Fast Delivery** Description Here we have a complete DIY Baby Brine Shrimp Hatching Kit Complete With Enough Salt/Eggs For Your First 4L Of Water :) Thats Over 40x More Baby Brine Shrimp Than in Our Pre-Hatched Live Foods - As you hatch yourself we can provide a higher concentration of eggs to salt. Having purchased the majority of kits from other sellers and sold these locally for many months we feel we have now addressed the majority of concerns from buyers looking to hatch their own baby brine shrimp You just need a soda bottle and an air supply/pump - We've used 2.25l pop bottles due to the shape of the neck but even 500ml bottles will work. This kit does require some effort on your part :P - The pop bottle sits/hangs upside down and needs a "fill" hole at the top big enough to pour water and your egg mix into it. We can provide a premade bottle ready to hang at extra cost. If required just ask and we can make arrangements. If choosing to hang the bottle (We've found this much easier when testing) you will need to make some extra holes. We drilled our bottle but a hot knife or scissors at a push work. It doesn't have to look pretty! Once the bottle and fixing arrangements are ready, screw the assembled cap onto the bottle ensure the drain valve is closed and you're ready to fill the bottle. Fill the water first. If using tap water hang the bottle once filled to the level required and leave it to sit or bubble over night - You need to use aged water to ensure any chemicals can evapourate Once ready pour the egg mix into the bottle (We used a funnel) and leave to bubble for 24hrs. If you have a lamp or lighting this will help but isn't required. After 24hrs turn off the air supply and leave the bottle to stand for 10 mins. At this point you can establish whether the majority have hatched or not. If happy grab a container and go ahead and drain what you need. Any hatched eggs will float and cling to the side of the bottle as you drain, The cap is designed so that any unhatched eggs will remain in the cap. Once you've drained what you need you can turn the air back on and leave to bubble until you need some more. After 48hrs pretty much any egg that is going to hatch will have so go ahead and drain the remainder. Store in a fridge for a longer life whilst you hatch your next batch :) To clean just half fill the bottle with tap water, shake and then rinse the bottle to remove hatched egg, pour water through the cap and tubing to ensure all is clean and your ready to go again.
