A Thin Attachment Tape for Lightweight Trim and Moldings
Our 3M™ Automotive Attachment Tape 06376 is a good choice for permanent attachment of lighter moldings, trims, nameplates and emblems to automotive surfaces. This OEM approved .03” (.76 mm) thick attachment tape is built on a core of medium density closed-cell acrylic foam that provides a blend of strength and conformability for a flush, professional appearance even across long applications such as door edge moldings. The tape is ¼” wide, good for narrow parts requiring exacting application. The viscoelastic foam core conforms well even to complex geometries. It is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads, and maintains bond-line aesthetics under normal stress loads. The dark gray-colored tape blends well with automotive surfaces for a smooth appearance. A red liner printed with the 3M logo provides easy one-piece release for efficient application.
3M recommends the use of 3M™ Automotive Adhesion Promoter 06396 for tape-to-part adhesion with 3M tape 06376 on all plastic parts such as RIM, TPO, PPO, PP and PC.
