A great summer pattern to cast when there isn't a hatch. Trout love hoppers and watching the take can be exciting. The foam body allows the fly to float high in the water and the large size makes it very easy to see in the water.
This fly is best used in a dropper combination with a nymph or emerger pattern. It is a perfect natural strike indicator as it is almost unsinkable.
Cast this fly to and grass undercut and hold on. That 3 lb rainbow is ready to eat it.
Total length of the #10 is approximately 1 7/16" from front to back. The #12 is approximately 1 1/4".
