Silver French Ecu coin (showing the Royal Arms of France on one side, and King Louis XV on the other) dated 1725 - Considered to be the only silver coins (other than the issue of 1670) made for the French Colonies of North America from the treasure ship wreck called Le Chameau (sank off the coast of Nova Scotia August 27, 1725 ). This coin is heavily oxidized/tarnished from years underwater. Cataloged by Walter Breen as # 387.
