Alfa Romeo V6 Engine Table

I have a passion for design and giving interesting objects new uses and new leases of life. This block and pistons came from an engine destined to be scrapped. I however thought it was a little too interesting to be lost to the smelter! I make various pieces of furniture based around V engines, this particular piece is made from an Alfa Romeo Busso V6 engine block.

The block has been finished in stunning metallic silver colour which looks great in the metal, the photo's do not do it justice. The pistons and con rods have been welded too flat steel plates which form the supports for the glass, these are finished in the same metallic silver. 

All my pieces are made by hand by me and so are unique! All the engines I use have their own histories and battle scars so there may be some small blemishes and imperfections but nothing which detracts from the overall look of the piece.

The table will be supplied with 6mm thick glass measuring 650x700mm and with 50mm radius corners. It is of course toughened safety specification meeting the correct British Standard. The glass is located and secured by four 30mm double sided suction cups. These anchor the glass securely yet allow it to be removed for cleaning or transport.

All in all a great and very unique piece of furniture, a must for any Alfa Romeo fan!

Please note this table will be made made to order, so there will be a 2-3 week lead time.

I'm easy to get too, just off J6 of the M5. Due to the block being aluminium the table is not as heavy as you may think, one person can lift it! Although it is easier with two as it weighs approximately 30 kilos. If you wish to arrange your own courier I am happy to crate up the table and securely pack the glass for an agreed nominal amount. As I said I can arrange delivery, including packing up the table and glass for £100 all inclusive. I prefer payment in cash upon delivery or collection but I will also accept PayPal.
