1) FOCUS FILMS HONEY FROM THE ROCK DVD
Honey from the Rock. The image is a rich one, particularly so from a Jewish-Catholic perspective. The phrase comes from Psalm 81, in which the Jewish peiple are promised that if they turn to God with their whole hearts, they will receive honey from the rock. The psalm reveals God's tender love for his people, the Jewish people. Meribah was where, shortly after the Jews has fled Egypt and entered the desert, they lost confidence in God and were convinced that they had been abandoned to die of thirst in the desert. It was there that they challenged Moses "Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?" (Ex 17:3), at which point God told Moses to "take in your hand the rod... [and] strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, that the people may drink." (Ex 17:5-6) At Meribah God gave them water to drink, which was enough to sustain life. When Jews turn to Him with their whole hearts, He will give them honey sweetness itself - rather than water to drink.
2) SALVATION IS FROM THE JEWS DVD.
He was born and raised a Jew in New York, the child of parents who escaped from Hitler. He studied Judaism under three prominent rabbis, considered joining a Hasidic community in Israel, but eventually ended up in Cambridge, where after an exceptional performance at MIT and Harvard, he was asked to join that faculty of the Harvard Business School.
Then he began to have visions. One day while walking along the beach on Cape Cod, he "fell into heaven." He had a mystical encounter with an anonymous God. After encountering God, he longed to know his name. "Let me know your name—""I don't mind if you are Buddha and I have to become a Buddhist; I don't mind if you are Apollo, and I have to become a roman pagan. I don't mind if you are Krishna, and I have to became a Hindu; as long as your are not Christ and I have to become a Christian!" One year to the day after his first religious experience on Cape Cod, Schoeman had a dream during which he encountered the Blessed Virgin, he started attending Mass and was baptized shortly thereafter.
Salvation is from the Jews…that’s our FOCUS.
