I will be offering you many fine examples of David Winter Cottages. David is a gifted English sculptor whose charming creations bring a fanciful British countryside to life. Fact and fiction seamlessly blend in the incredibly details of each cottage or castle. Most if not all of these were purchased near their original creation date in the 80's and 90's by a military serviceman currently living in American but then stationed in Great Britain, and brought back safely in their original boxes with paperwork. This listing is for the highly detailed "Hertford Court" from the Regions collection and copyright dated 1983. This quaint but imposing home was for a successful self-made man, perhaps a merchant in high standing, with great social standing in his community. The individual, seemingly out-of-proportion chimneys and multiple staircases were typical of the 17th century that this cottage design represents. Green baize with label and number 6 sticker (probably the baizer's no.)

This piece is found in the original box with paperwork: cautionary removal instructions, named and dated (20 Feb 1991) packer's slip, Certificate of Authenticity specific to "Hertford Court".  The date on the pack slip is so much later than the copyright that it's possible the original owner inadvertently mixed them, but this is how I found it. Hand made and hand painted in the Studios & Workshops of John Hine, Hampshire, Great Britain.

Condition as in photos, this is the exact item you will receive. Very good clean condition in original box. I notice one tiny paint flake to a corner of a tile on the roof with the lowest chimney which is completely invisible in the photographs and so mentioned for accuracy. Yes, I nitpick ;) I do not "doctor" photos to conceal perceived flaws; I consider them an important part of the description.
