Set of 2 Middle East Egyptian Solid Silver Small Butter
Pat Tray Coasters Made Marked 1932-33 w Tugra
Presented
is an elegant set of 2 small round butter pat trays or small coasters or marked
for silver made in Alexandria Egypt with a Turga and date letter for silver
made in 1932-33 of 800 fine silver. American standard sterling silver is 925,
so there is slightly less silver in this alloy. I have posted pictures of my
research on these marks in the photos above. They have a beaded edge around the
rim and a lovely pattern on the interior rim with a high finish interior. They
have no dents or dings and only some fine scratches from gentle use and care
and no monogram and one does have an impressed circular impression possibly
made from a heavier item set inserted. They are excellent pieces for any number
of uses and an excellent touch for the most elegant of tables or setting.
