It's so easy to use...
Place the whistle on your tongue with the round part
pointing to the back of your mouth
(Back)
(Front)
and the front of the whistle pointing
towards your teeth.
Here is the important part:
When you first get your new whistle you'll need to place it on your tongue
and let it sit in your mouth for about 5 minutes.
This softens the reed and prepares the whistle for all those wonderful sounds.
Once the whistle is soft and wet, push the whistle with your tongue
to the top of your mouth.
Make sure that the reed (Front of Whistle) doesn't hit your teeth.
Slowly make a hissing sound blowing air past the whistle.
You can say things like Champane, Choo Choo or you know
the sound you make when you want someone to be quiet,
SSSSSSHHHHHHH......
As you blow air past the whistle the top of your mouth will start to dry
and the whistle will stick to the roof of your mouth.
If you don't hear a sound, move the whistle around the top of your mouth
until you hear a squeak.
That's what we call your sweet spot and that's where you want to position the whistle.
With a little practice you'll be driving the birds nuts.
