New Hejnar Photo Conversion Set for the Manfrotto 400 geared head. This adapter plate and clamp combination allows you to use the Manfrotto 400 with any Arca‑Swiss compatible equipment.

Many architectural and interior photographers prefer geared heads over ball heads because they allow precise, independent adjustments on all three axes. The Manfrotto 400, 405, and 410 are popular choices—but they use proprietary Manfrotto QR plates. This conversion kit bypasses that limitation.

The included F63b clamp can be mounted in 90‑degree increments for optimal orientation. It can also be detached and used independently on other equipment.

🛠 Installation Overview

The adapter plate attaches to the Manfrotto 400 in a few simple steps:

• Remove the original mounting platform (two screws per side)
• Remove the lock‑down mechanism on the back of the platform
• Insert the Hejnar M400 plate into the opening, sliding the round section under the front V‑groove
• Attach the replacement plate using the provided screws
• Reattach the platform to the geared head
• Mount the F63b clamp in any direction using the center 1/4‑20 screw and two 10‑32 screws
