Our frosted etched window film provides privacy. It stops vision day and night in both directions. The frosted vinyl allows 90% of natural light to pass through your glass. It won’t make your room dark. It’s self-adhesive so no messy glue is needed. The vinyl has a paper backing which makes it easier to handle than thinner window films. Although the film can be installed externally, we always recommend an internal installation whenever possible. The film will be easier to install inside and less chance of getting contamination under the film. What’s the difference between the Standard and the Bubble free frosted vinyl? Both versions of our frosted etched window film look the same. They have the same technical specs, colour and easy to handle paper backing liner. The bubble free version has small air channels in the adhesive to allow trapper air to escape. You are guaranteed not to get any bubbles with either version as long as you follow our instructions. The only difference is that the bubble free version allows air to escape if you make a mistake. If you don’t put enough pressure when squeegeeing the slip solution from behind the film. Or if you miss an area with a squeegee stroke. Then the bubble free version will allow the solution to evaporate out rather than become a bubble. Sometimes you may not notice that you’ve missed a bit until it starts to dry. With the bubble free version the bubble will escape through the air channels. The air channels then close over the 30 day curing period.
