>>>Perforated
- 30 pounds per 1000 roll, double sided breathable perforated foil radiant barrier.
Perforated radiant barrier reflects heat back at the source instead of
absorbing it like traditional fiberglass insulation It can reduce heat
transfer from an attic to a living space by 50%, creating a more
comfortable living space
- Non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, fiber-free, safe to handle
and does not require protective clothing or respirators to install.
Easy to install and maintenance free, cuts easily with utility knife or
scissors and installs easier than fiberglass. Simply staple, nail or
glue into place! No mess, and no itchy fibers!
- Not affected by moisture or humidity. Inhibits
condensation and does not promote the growth of fungi, mold or mildew.
Does not promote nesting of insects or rodents.
- Saves energy by reducing the stress on heating and
cooling systems, keeping your home warmer in the winter, and cooler in
the summer. It can reduce utility bills substantially all year round.
US Energy products has set a new industry standard in radiant barrier. Our Radiant
barrier is made of a thin layer, 5 mil, of woven polyethylene that is
sandwiched between two layers of a highly reflective metalized coating.
With this polyethylene core the radiant barrier cannot be torn or
ripped. Our radiant barrier is non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, fiber free,
and does not support nesting by rodents or insects. Our radiant barrier
has tiny perforations that provide breath-ability and moisture vapor to
escape. These perforations in the radiant barrier prevent condensation
buildup making foil insulation a great choice for attic insulation. Our
perforated radiant barrier has a Class A/Class 1 fire rating and meets
all the most current standards and codes for radiant barriers including
the newest Fire Code (ASTM E84 / ASTM 2599) and new Corrosivity Testing
(ASTM D3310). Perforated radiant barrier reflects heat back at the
source instead of absorbing it like traditional fiberglass insulation.
Having a Class A/Class 1 fire rating does not mean the product will not
burn; all radiant barrier type products will burn, the metalized product
is not fireproof. If you still need convincing, go to the ASTM website
and you can read summary pages of each standard, don’t just take our
word for it, go straight to the source! The classifications assigned
based on the testing are just a measure of the burning characteristics
of each product tested, not the fireproof-ness of the products. Aluminum
covered radiant barrier products are pretty difficult to start burning,
but once they flash (catch fire) the polyethylene scrim inside will
continue to burn at a relatively slow rate. Typical Uses: Under Roof,
Roof Joists, Cathedral Ceilings, Attics, Walls, House Wrap, Floors,
Crawl Spaces, Metal Buildings, Weed barrier, SCIF’s, Barns, Garages,
Storage Units, Duct Work, Sheds, Warehouses, Grow Rooms, &
Greenhouses.
