Our Radiant barrier is made of a thin layer, 5 mil, of woven polyethylene that is sandwiched between two layers of a highly reflective metalized coating. With this polyethylene core the radiant barrier cannot be torn or ripped. Our radiant barrier is non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, fiber free, and does not support nesting by rodents or insects. Our radiant barrier has tiny perforations that provide breath-ability and moisture vapor to escape. These perforations in the radiant barrier prevent condensation buildup making foil insulation a great choice for attic insulation. Our perforated radiant barrier has a Class A/Class 1 fire rating and meets all the most current standards and codes for radiant barriers including the newest Fire Code (ASTM E84 / ASTM 2599) and new Corrosivity Testing (ASTM D3310).
