Looks very good, in "as found" original untouched condition, craquelure throughout, surface grime, frame has minor wear -- please look at photos carefully. 


Fantastic oil painting by Albert William Holden depicting a fine portrait of a 19th century shoemaker. Holden was best known for his realistic figure subjects and oil portraits. This is a fine example of his work in good condition for its age. Similar paintings by Holden have recently sold for $1,700-$9,000+ at auction. My price of $999 is extremely reasonable and far below what one would be expected to pay for it in a gallery or at auction.
