If the buyer, or the buyer’s garage carry out a good assessment, costly returns and delays in repairs can be avoided, and the restoration can get started without delay.

We have been manufacturing MX5 Rear Sill and Quarter Repair Panels since May 2012 and are pleased to announce our latest generation MK1 type A rear sill panels now with drainage feature pressed into the lower edge.

Just what you need to preserve your MX5, Eunos or Miata MKI or MK1 version from 1989 - 1998 models, (These cars have the flip up head lights).

4 panels supplied as in image 1 to make up this Kit "A".

All parts supplied in Primer finish, (colour may vary).

This kit consist of a pair of MK1 NA Type "A", (Without Bottom Lip, but with Drainage feature) Rear Sill, (rocker) Repair panels for both sides of the car, Plus 1 pair of MK1 Inner Lower Sill Repair Panels with Bottom Lip (Fits All MKI type MX5, Eunos, and Miata models from 1989 - 1998) and also includes lower wheel arch return.

Each Panel is designed to repair the rear sill area from the wheel arch, (includes lower wheel arch edge) to the vertical sill joint at the back end of the door.

This kit restores this area of the car back to the original specifications, (Outer rear sill did not include the bottom lip as the bottom lip is part of the main sill structure).

OUTER REAR SILL REPAIR PANELS:

Outer Sill repair panels Manufactured using heavier 18 gauge, (1.2mm) steel to ensure your classic is preserved longer and to ensure easier mig welding.

Each panel repairs an area of approx 300mm or 12" from the wheel arch lip, so please check your car to ensure the repair panel covers the area of rust to be repaired.

The panel is approx 310mm long so allows for a small piece to be cut off to align with the forward vertical joint under the back edge of the door.

Now with drainage features to further preserve your classic.

Please note: that due to paint supply issues, the panel primer colour may vary form the image finished colour, how ever all painted surfaces are of the same standard.

INNER REAR LOWER SILL REPAIR PANELS:

Inner Lower sill repair panels are Manufactured from 16 gauge, ( 1.5mm) steel and come with an installation guide.

This Lower Inner sill repair panel is designed to be used in conjunction with my MX5 MK1 type "A" or type "B" Outer Rear sill Repair panels, "A" without bottom lip as per original factory spec or type "B" with bottom lip and additional drainage detail.

This Lower Inner rear sill repair panel includes the bottom downward lip with additional drainage detail, running along bottom edge of rear sill to add extra strength for jacking.

I do not drill the 8mm diameter holes in the panel for plug welding as I prefer to allow the repairer to decide the best "Plug Weld" points and also helps keep the cost down.
