Non Woven soakaway membrane - 2.25x6m
Non woven geotextile is a heat bonded polyethylene fabric created for construction and DIY projects. It is an essential part of sub base layers in many projects: decking, patios, pathways, shed bases, soakaway systems, French drains, drainage ditches, artificial turf.
Nonwoven geotextile fabric is designed for projects
involving water. It is a perfect layer to prevent particles moving within subbase
layers and allowing water to move through with no interruptions. In a soakaway
system a geotextile is used to wrap soakaway crates or other soakaway medium to
prevent surrounding soil and silt from filling up the water reservoir over time,
allowing water to pass through and be absorbed slowly into the water table.
This provides long-term protection for your soakaway system.
Non-woven membrane is a filtration and drainage layer as it
allows water to pass through but stops any particles from migrating down
through the base layers. It maintains a secure and solid sub base for your
project.
A good tensile strength and puncture resistance also means that this fabric can take a normal household loading i.e. 1 or 2 cars. We supply small cut pieces boxed and folded. Larger sizes are supplied on a roll.
