Waffenbruderschaft  is a 64 minute film about the 1980 Warsaw Pact maneuvers on East German soil.  With the Soviet Union bogged down in Afghanistan and unrest and protest taking place in Poland, this series of military maneuvers were especially portrayed as the symbol of unity and eternal friendship among the Warsaw Pact members.  Shown are not only impressive military exercises, but visits to memorials of victims of fascism and concentration camps, as well as music and entertainment for the soldiers on their off-time.

FILM QUALITY:  the film quality is from quite decent to very good VHS quality.  The color is impressive.  The sound, however, is a bit strange:  the voice of the narrator is "canned", as if someone filmed this in a movie theatre with a hand-held camcorder.  Nonetheless, the film is overall impressive.

TOTAL TIME:  64 minutes

IN GERMAN AND NO SUBTITLES.  WILL PLAY IN ALL REGIONS.
