Multi-talented singer, songwriter Anita Spratt is a graduate of the Alabama School of Fine Arts (ASFA) majoring in classical voice under Andrea Nelson. She also furthered her studies in flute under Barbara Trauffer with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. She performed in the ASFA Orchestra, The Birmingham All City Orchestra and the ASFA Jazz Ensemble under the direction of internationally known Jazz Bassist Cleveland "Cleve" Eaton. Additionally, Anita studied jazz ballet and tap dancing at ASFA and with Jim Piersol of Los Angeles, California. Captivating and mesmerizing her audiences with her smooth vocal style and range, she has been described by some of Alabama's most respected Jazz musicians as (vocally) being "in the stratosphere man."

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Anita is the youngest of seven children to retired educator Annie Stewart Spratt and Lewis G. Spratt, Sr., a lawmaker in The Alabama State House of Representatives. After graduation from ASFA, Anita started a music and acting and dancing career performing in various venues in Birmingham. Anita then furthered her education by attending Jefferson State College on a full music scholarship from the ASFA Foundation. There, she continued her studies in classical voice/performing arts under Andrea Langford and also studied classical guitar. She continued to write and arrange songs, at the same time played the piano, organ, flute, sang and served as choir director in several gospel choirs. On an earlier project Anita worked with singer, songwriter Brian McKnight and his brother Claude McKnight along with Joey Kimble (of the group "Take Six") who performed as background singers on three of her original compositions. Anita also co-wrote a song with songwriter/musician Brandon Barnes who is an accredited writer on several of Brian McKnight's albums. That same year, Anita performed in Birmingham's annual music festival, The Birmingham City Stages, as an international act on the Coca Cola stage. She also opened for the Millie Jackson and Johnny Taylor Blues Concert held at the Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery, Alabama.

NOTE: When CD's were first introduced, some manufacturers packaged them in the now-standard plastic jewel cases, but then put that CD and jewel case in a large, sealed plastic "blister pack." (Approximately 6" X 12") This was so the retailer could display the CD's, which seemed so little at the time, in the same display racks as the vinyl LP Records or, if desired, they could be hung from a pegboard display. Plus, the blister pack added a little security as it was harder to steal a large object than a small one and in addition, they are tamper-proof. As the LP Records disappeared from stores, so did the CD blister packs. This new, hard to find CD is still sealed in the original plastic blister pack!
