Comments about 18-karat Gold Coin - Year of the Horse - Mintage: 2500 (2014):
I would have likesd to see this coin in a overall larger size considering its high dollar denomination.I bought it for myself for my own birth year and because it would be too expensive for someone else to buy it for me as a gift. If I could afford to buy more of this coin and I would also buy the rest of the other related beautifull Gold coins!

Comments about 18-karat Gold Coin - Year of the Horse - Mintage: 2500 (2014):
Very beautiful coin. The unique gold detailed material clam case is a nice touch for this special coin. The detailing is impeccable with a very proportional horse elevated on the surface. Overall very happy with this purchase. The only concerns I have with this coin are that it is 18K (making it more of a jewellery piece opposed to a true gold coin), also the coin is a bit small for the presentation box- accentuating how small the coin is. I would suggest the mint offering this type of coin in a smaller case.
Bottom LineYes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about 18-karat Gold Coin - Year of the Horse - Mintage: 2500 (2014):
Ridiculous decision made by the royal canadian mint to make this as 18 karats. there are lots of avid collectors or rich but low key who was born in the year of the horse and would like to see this in 24 karat gold. Whoever decided this to be made to 18 karats should be FIRED! Insult to us born in the Year of the Horse!

Comments about 18-karat Gold Coin - Year of the Horse - Mintage: 2500 (2014):
Year of Horse coin is one of the best selling coins in Chinese Lunar Year Collection (Usually year of dragon is the number one, horse is the second). Really stunning design and surface finish. Mintage is low; premium is reasonable, which both keep the value steady up even when gold price drops. I believe it will be sold out soon. as of today, inventory check 2387/2500 sold
Bottom LineYes, I would recommend this to a friend
