Cambridge AccuSense TCM-24 Thermocouple Temperature Monitor
This is a Cambridge AccuSense TCM-24 Thermocouple Temperature Monitor that's in very good used condition. We actually have two of these; both in identical condition, but one comes with a Fluke thermocouple and the other with autoclave thermocouple. There may be differences in the number of thermocouples between each (over ten per instrument, though). The one that's pictured comes with a label dispenser (red cylinder in the pictures).
TCM-24 Thermocouple Monitor Developed to complement the T.I.M.E. line of thermal analysis and evaluation technology, the Thermocouple Monitor (TCM-24) can also be used as a stand-alone multipoint measurement instrument, allowing its users to obtain a temperature gradient of their product. Besides improving testing accuracy and efficiency, the TCM-24 provides increased flexibility by allowing user-defined sampling times, as well as a measurement range from –150oC to 150oC, placing the limits of temp range well within the upper range of even most mil-spec semiconductors before they're derated. (-150C), in the event performance evals of op amps are carried out, some op amps are sensitive enough to significantly shift CMRR with just a degree temp change; the implication being that at -150C, the performance characteristics of the tested op amp will likely yield unpredictable results. but when the unknown result becomes known for the first time, how will the Engineer know that his (-150C) is accurate enough to be relied upon, thus throwing his scientific method into question? It's also well known in the arts that (-150C) is cold enough to shift the 632nM line from a YAG laser well into the orange-yellow (540nM-570nM). But what could it do to a pulsed 280nM? Shift the EM radiation into coherent X-ray territory, perhaps? And to assess the characteristics of the novel pulse, how would the inspired Engineer know that a precise (-150C) had been reached in the first place?
