This is an original 1906 updated to March 1, 1910, Atlas/Map Brooklyn New York. The map measures 27 x 36 and it is on linen. It is in Ex+/Nr. Mint condition. The map covers from Canarsie Avenue/East 37th Street to E. 48th Street and from Avenue D to Tilden Avenue. It includes Holy Cross Cemetery.
Each color represents the type of structure. Yellow is wood, pink is brick, blue is iron and brown is stone. The X's through the buildings indicate it is a barn or stable. Brown indicates stone structures. A circle with a "t" indicates a fire hydrant. The map also indicates the names of the original deed holders and the double green lines indicate the original streets of New York before the grid system came in effect! The roman numerals inside the buildings indicate how many stories each structure is.
