As the years went by, Larsson purchased not only some working quarters but also studios in Stockholm and in the country.  Here, the children are looking for a way to amuse themselves during the long Swedish winter.  Landscape and event constitute a unity here.

Carl Larsson, the famous Swedish painter who lived from 1853 - 1919 is mostly known for his water color paintings and his pictures of his family in Sundborn, Sweden. an idyllic village whose lovely surroundings emphasize the happy family life shown in his paintings.
