An interesting mixed collection of original vintage postcards and photographs, offering a lovely glimpse into British social and local history.

The lot includes Temple Meads Railway Station, The Plaza at Eglinton Toll, Glasgow, The School at Giggleswick, a lake scene at Larkhill, Preston, a horse-drawn carriage street scene, and several more personal photographs.

There is also a charming “A Merry Christmas” photograph of a house, together with an original photograph showing two gentlemen standing on what appears to be an allotment or garden plot.

Several have handwritten correspondence, addresses and period postage stamps to the reverse.

Used vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. There are creases, corner and edge wear, marks, staining, surface wear and some damage to individual photographs/cards. The photograph of the two gentlemen has particularly noticeable creasing and cracking. Some backs have writing, postal marks and general discolouration consistent with age.
