Reason for sale: I have advanced Alzheimer's so I want to sell them before I'm unable to do so.Here is a N Scale Graham Farish renamed Hall 7901 in British Railways early livery.
This is a beautiful locomotive and is one of the early models that have diecast bodies. I believe it was originally Mere Hall, but this one has been renumbered and renamed to 7901 Dodington Hall. It comes with fitted brass numbers and nameplates with a red background. This is a model of a Modified Hall, and it has been weathered to make it look grimy and almost ready for withdrawal, which happened to the original in February 1964.
This one runs very well and would equally be at home at the front of a passenger train or a freight train.
This model will run and run and run, something about the simple engineering of the day, no chips just mechanical throughout and easy to maintain. The box is also good condition as you can see in the last picture.
What more can I say, except you should buy it.
Six of these have survived into preservation.
Please stay with me over the next 12 months or so as I have over 500 passenger wagons, 550 freight wagons, 760 locomotives, 100s of signals, 350 buildings and 100s of items of Kato track. Some of my boxed sets alone are around $1000, so its going to be a bumpy and at times sad ride for me. Every penny I make is going towards a motorhome so that my wife and I can finally get to see this beautiful country, before Alzheimer's hits hard.
