The LEMEGA DR6 is a stereo DAB/DAB+ and FM radio built around two speakers rather than one. Separate left and right 2.5-inch full-range drivers sit in a true wooden cabinet with an aluminium speaker grille, 255mm wide and weighing 1.02kg, with a carry handle on top. Run it for up to 15 hours on 4 x AA batteries, which are not included, or from the supplied mains adaptor. Speaker performance: the DR6 is the step-up model in the range. Where the DR5 drives a single full-range speaker, the DR6 runs a matched pair on independent left and right channels, giving a more powerful total output and true 2.0 stereo. Music and speech gain width and separation that one speaker cannot reproduce, and stereo broadcasts arrive the way they were mixed rather than folded down to a single channel. Auto-scan finds the DAB, DAB+ and FM stations broadcast free to air in your area, and you can store 40 presets in total, 20 DAB and 20 FM. FM carries RDS station names and RadioText where broadcast. Stream from a phone or tablet over Bluetooth, or use the headphone socket for private listening. The 2.4-inch full colour display offers four clock faces and three brightness levels, and the clock sets itself from the DAB or FM signal. Two independent alarms cover daily, weekday, weekend and one-off schedules, waking you to a chosen station or a buzzer that rises gently from quiet, with snooze and a sleep timer from 15 to 90 minutes.
