TWO FROGS on a LEAF by TYLER QUAM
These frogs were carved by TYLER QUAM of the Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. They are carved from one large piece of Salt River Serpentine. The frogs are sitting on a large leaf carved from the same piece of rock. They have inlaid Turquoise Eyes and Turquoise Dots on their backs. They are sitting back-to-back and the whole piece measures 3" long x 3" wide x 1" tall. Frogs are important during the Rain Ceremonies and considered Fertile and Lucky.
