These could be found all over the Midland region of British Rail, in express formations out of London Euston to destinations like Glasgow Central, Liverpool and Manchester, even to North Wales, Blackpool and the far north of Scotland. One of these would be at the end of each train carrying parcels, bicycles and customer's large boxes.

This is as mint as mint could be and has been in my collection from new but has never run on my layout. The box is crisp and, apart from a couple of storage dings, it looks like it could have come off the factory line today. Look at the picture of the wheels, you will see how clean they are.
