Overview and Application: This complete motorized optical shutter kit is designed for fluorescence and live-cell imaging on Nikon Eclipse research microscopes. Controlled via a Prior ProScan controller, the high-speed 25mm shutter precisely synchronizes light exposure with camera acquisition, protecting sensitive biological samples from photobleaching and phototoxicity between frames.
Originally supplied by Prior Scientific as an OEM module for PerkinElmer UltraVIEW confocal and widefield imaging systems (PN: L7000156), this kit includes the dedicated mechanical couplers required to mount the shutter directly into the Nikon illumination path or pair it with a Prior filter wheel.
