Ecran - May 4, 1965 (No. 1788) Deluxe Special Anniversary Issue

Published in Santiago, Chile by Empresa Editora Zig-Zag, May 4, 1965
This is an exceptionally rare, monumental, and highly sought-after original 1965 special anniversary issue of Ecran, the legendary Chilean international entertainment weekly. Printed on April 30, 1965, and distributed on May 4, this massive 84-page deluxe edition features a spectacular, full-page front cover color portrait of The Beatles (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) during the peak of their mid-1960s cinematic era.
Crucially, the interior houses a massive multi-page exclusive on-set report tracking the filming of their second feature movie, Help! (originally working under the title Eight Arms to Hold You). Written by Jerry Pampa, this historic chronicle captures the Fab Four during their iconic location shoots in the Bahamas and Nassau, featuring fantastic behind-the-scenes photographs, interviews with director Richard Lester, and intimate profiles of the band members. It also boasts beautiful full-page color posters of Hollywood stars Carol Lynley, Carroll Baker, George Maharis, and George Peppard, making it an absolute holy grail for vintage Beatles ephemera collectors and mid-century cinema historians.
