Rare and unusual cabinet card of the Yacht Mignonette lifeboat which spent 24 days in the open sea.  In order to survive, two of the crew of the lifeboat killed another member of crew (who had fallen ill from drinking seawater), and they performed survival cannibalism on him.  This led to a precedent throughout the Common Law world that necessity is not a defence to a charge of murder.

The boat was later picked up by the German ship Moctezuma, and taken to Falmouth in England.
