US Army -169th Field Artillery Brigade, Full Color Sew-on Class A Patch

Artikelzustand; Neu

The image shows the Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) of the 169th Field Artillery Brigade (formerly the 169th Fires Brigade).

The symbolism of the insignia is composed as follows:

• Colors (scarlet and gold): These are the traditional branch colors of the U.S. Field Artillery.

• Mountains and blue sky: These symbolize the brigade’s origins in Colorado and represent the Rocky Mountains. The red of the mountain slopes also serves as a visual allusion to the name of the state (“Colorado” means “reddish” in Spanish).

• Golden artillery piece: This directly represents the unit’s function. The gold also alludes to the region’s historic gold fields.
