Vintage Pair Baroque Wall Shelf Corbels Tortoiseshell Effect Gold Acanthus.

Pair of decorative Baroque Revival wall shelf brackets by APF Inc., dated 2003.

Each features an elaborate scrolling acanthus-leaf design, finished in a rich reddish-brown tortoiseshell effect with contrasting antique gold edges to the shaped shelves.

The deeply modelled foliage and curling scrolls draw on traditional Baroque and Rococo ornamentation, while the dramatic colour combination lends itself particularly well to Hollywood Regency and maximalist interiors.

The shaped upper surfaces provide space for displaying small decorative objects, while the brackets are attractive as architectural wall decorations in their own right.

Both retain their original metal wall-mounting brackets and manufacturer’s labels to the reverse, marked APF Inc. © 2003.

Can also be used as book shelves.

Condition: Pre-owned, with minor marks and wear to the decorative finish, particularly around the gilded edges. Please examine photographs.
