Vintage German Trachtenhut — Mayer-Hut, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 15 Pins Including Rare Expo 58 Badge
A genuine green wool Tyrolean hunting hat (Trachtenhut/Tirolerhut) by Mayer-Hut of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, finished with a cord band and a feather plume in a silver-tone holder. Decorated with 15 pins, including several standout pieces:
- “URSS · Bruxelles · 1958” enamel pin commemorating the Soviet Pavilion at the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair (Expo 58), referencing the Sputnik launch (4 Octobre 1957) — a genuine Cold War/Space Race-era collectible, not a typical tourist souvenir
- Rothenburg o.T. shield pin in an ornate silver repoussé crown-and-plume frame — more elaborate metalwork than standard stamped souvenir shields
- Silver hunting/shooting club medallion — a stag or marten head with crossed rifles, target, and oak-leaf wreath in a twisted rope border, consistent with German Jagdschützenverein (hunting club) badge style
- A small silver cartridge-shaped charm attached to a “Garmisch” banner with a figural horn
- Heidelberg city crest and additional enamel regional shields
- A small figural hunter charm

Condition: Good pre-owned vintage condition. Normal wear to felt; pins present and secure. Please review photos closely for condition of individual pins.
Note: Down accent is delicate and shedding is normal with age/handling — some loose fibers may be present or come loose in shipping. I will package the feather pin separately from the hat to prevent additional shedding on the hat.
